Last Sunday, we heard about the lame beggar who was miraculously healed by God and joyfully responded by sharing the news with all, which afforded Peter the opportunity to preach the Gospel. This Sunday, we will continue with The Start of a Movement as we look at Acts 4 and see as Peter and John experience opposition. Pastor Boyd will remind us that bearing witness will always be accompanied by pain and sorrow, but through the greatest amount of opposition the Gospel continues to spread.
Focus Verse: But Peter and John answered them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge, for we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard." - Acts 4:19-20
How To Pray: God thank you for giving us the Holy Spirit during times of opposition and persecution. Holy Spirit give us faith to depend on your guidance in responding to persecution. Give us courage to respond to opposition both boldly and humbly.
What We're Singing
On Sundays we sing out of response to what Jesus has done on our behalf. We sing to acknowledge Jesus as Lord and obedience to Him because of our deep love for Him.
Serving Lee: This is the last Sunday that we are collecting items for the homeless students at Lee High School. Bring your clothes, toiletries, and canned goods with you on Sunday!
