On Sunday, August 9th, we will launch into the third part of our sermon campaign through the book of Acts, Movement Leaders: A Story Within A Story. During this campaign, we will look at how God strategically saved each of us to play a part in His story. Therefore, God has us in Jacksonville with specific jobs, friends, and homes for purposes of advancing the Gospel. One of the keys to living out our story faithfully to God’s design requires us to live in relationships with others.
For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, (Ephesians 1:15-16)
In Paul’s letter to the Ephesian Church, we see the importance of relationships being played out in God’s story. Paul heard how the Ephesians were living out their story through their faith in Jesus and service to other Christians. The Ephesians served to bring encouragement, edification, and extortion to Paul's life, because a disciple needs relationships. We need each other to live and embody the message of the Gospel to the people in Jacksonville.
Our hope at The District Church is for every disciple of Jesus to live in community for the glory of God and the good of others. If you haven’t gotten a chance to connect to a group yet, we would like to cordially invite you to the Groups Meet & Greet on Sunday, August 9th following the Sunday Gathering. It will be an opportunity to connect with a Community Group or Gospel Cohort Leader for the launch of our groups.
