New Song This Sunday: Trust

By Your Blood by Your power every breath every hour, I trust in You.

With every breath and with every hour, we are faced with difficulties. Some great, some small. From deciding where to park the car, to losing a child and walking through that pain with your spouse. Our hearts and minds tell us to be afraid, to flee, to hide and wait for it all to go away.

When I was a kid, I would consistently pester my older brother to the point of him getting up enraged and chasing me. Every time, no matter where my mom would be, I would run to her as fast as I could. I trusted that even though I was wrong, she wouldn’t allow him to hurt me.

While our fears tell us to run, our Father waits with open arms. Allowing us to take refuge in Him.

In Psalm 56: 3-4 David writes:

When I am afraid, I put my trust in You. In God whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?

We are excited to worship together this Sunday to a new song, “Trust,” written by Austin Stone Worship. Start listening to this song now as you prepare to worship with us.

I will trust in Jesus’ blood

Blood You poured out on the cross

And this grace was given once for all

I will trust in Jesus’ blood

I will trust in Jesus’ power

By this power I will endure

Though my flesh may fail, I stand secure

I will trust in Jesus’ power

Ooooooooooh, I will trust in Jesus now

Ooooooooooh, I will trust in Jesus now

By Your blood, by Your power, every breath, every hour

I trust in You

All my life, all my days, I will give You all my praise

I trust in You

I trust in You

I will trust in Jesus now

Now by faith my eyes will see

Oh this life I live is Christ in me

I will trust in Jesus now
