Everything we do stems from biblical teaching..
While the bible does not layout the exact structure of the churches corporate gathering, it does lend guidance to the way we conduct ourselves and our time spent together as the church. As worship has changed from old testament, to new, and even to the way we worship today..who we worship has not. This form of liturgy has not been created by us, it is simply ceremonies, covenants, & commands displayed through the bible.
We are drawn to repentance through prayer, speaking, & reading of the scriptures.
We begin by acknowledging 1 John 1:5-10. God is the light, and to have fellowship with him we are to separate ourselves from the darkness, we confess our sins as he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We begin with confession & prayer to be reminded we are Gospel people, brought together by God’s grace. As the church gathers we understand the importance of not just confessing our individual sins, but also confessing as a body of sinful people in the presence of a righteous & just God.
Songs are chosen to teach us, to proclaim who God is, & lead us to adore Him.
We carefully plan song’s and moments of teaching to guide our people to a greater knowledge of God, and a greater since of adoration towards Him. Through intentional musical arrangements, along with scriptural and spoken teachings related to, or paired with songs & hymns..We work to guide those who believe, and those as yet committed towards God.
Preaching allows us to be edified as the bible is explained and applied.
Our pastor leads the church through biblical teachings, creating parallels in the gospel and our daily lives..Explaining, and applying the word of God, giving us a greater knowledge of Him, who we are in Him, and who we are called to be through Him. As the biblical message is prepared the content that surrounds it will work to compliment and support the overall teaching of our gathering.
We respond to God through communion, prayer, giving & singing.
One of the most important things we are able to do in our time spent together is respond to what God has done, and what He is doing; Through spending time in prayer and meditating on his word, partaking as a believer in communion, submitting our lives, finances, or time to Him, & continuing to glorify Him through song.
