The Great Commission

Opening Scripture

Matthew 28:16-20
"Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'"

Study Section

Work is often seen as something we endure or as a means of defining ourselves, but Scripture shows us a different perspective. Work was designed by God as a good thing, but sin has distorted it, leading us to either resist it or misuse it for identity and worth. Jesus calls us to reorient our hearts, starting with worship, which transforms ordinary tasks into sacred opportunities to glorify God. By beginning with worship, loving others as Christ loves us, and living in God’s presence, we can align our going, doing, and being with God’s purpose, making every moment a part of His greater mission.
